a year in photos: 63/366 - 66/366

63/366 (Friday, March 7th)

It's my little bugaboo. He enjoyed playing with the hat very much. He hated having it on his head and I removed it from the poor guy when he fussed. But kept it on long enough for me to take this adorable photo.

64/366 (Saturday, March 8th)

Apple dumplings in a photo that makes them look all weird. They are quite tasty, though. Recipe courtesy of Ree (a.k.a. The Pioneer Woman) from her recipe blog: The Pioneer Woman Cooks. If you don't read Confessions of a Pioneer Woman, you really should. May I recommend her novel in progress: Black Heels To Tractor Wheels. Great fun. I made these on Saturday. After the opera (The Barber of Seville. Quite funny), Ally-oop and Kuntow joined Spartacus and myself for coffee (or tea) and apple dumplings à la mode at my apartment. Everyone loved them. I have four left. And, no, Spartacus, you cannot have them. ;)

65/366 (Sunday, March 9th)

Silk flowers in my kitchen. You may recognize these from the tour (of my NEAT AND CLEAN) apartment about a year ago. Those pictures are good, but I'd like to think that my photographic abilities have improved since then. What do you think?

66/366 (Monday, March 10th)

Another photo taken in my kitchen. I took several photos of my drippy faucet and debated putting a different one up here. Instead, I narrowed my photos down to only three decent ones. I edited them, made the other two sepia and put them together on NRAA. I particularly like this photo. It's taking me more and more tries to get decent photos as I am using someone else's camera. It's a Cannon PowerShot A95 for anyone who is curious. I'm not mucking about with any manual settings and instead using the Auto or Scene options. With the macro setting turned on. Of course. And no flash. OBVIOUSLY. Because I really really hate flash. Unless ABSOLUTELY necessary
